It was good, the location was beautiful and I learned new skills. Torben insisted that I use ink straight away which I was nervous about because you can?t erase any mistakes! But it really took my skills to another level. I?m very grateful for this class.

I really enjoyed this session. Torben made a great effort to set the scene and create the right vibe for drawing. He had the tables set up with the subjects, he had examples of work at the ready. The seating and the venue enabled him to move around the group. Generally he was encouraging and motivating. Genuine love of art and interest in everyone?s work.

I only took up sketching on a trip to Nepal in my mid 50's, which lead to the discovery of Urban Sketching around Brisbane, then I learned about Plein Air Painting with many weekends away horning my art around Brisbane and SE QLD, with a solo exhibtion in 2022.
I discovered pencil shading drawing around 2 years ago and am amazed with the simplicity, I also believe what was once shown to me I can now pass on and love this quote, '"I can only draw what I see." MONET
